Mining and industrial heritage of Karelia
The implementation of the project “Mining and Industrial Heritage of Karelia” continues, the applicant is the Regional Museum of the Northern Ladoga Region. The project won the “Industrial Experiment” competition of the Vladimir Potanin Charitable Foundation. The Karelian Resource Center for Public Associations is one of the project partners.
WE ARE STILL ALIVE!
The book “We are Still Alive!” has been published, containing the memoirs of former juvenile prisoners of fascist concentration camps. The author and compiler of the book, Klavdiya Nyuppieva, was herself a child prisoner and for many years headed the Karelian Union of Former Child Prisoners of Nazi Concentration Camps.
Subtotal results of the «Karelia Industrial» project
The project "Karelia Industrial: History and Present" that is supported by the Presidential Grants Fund, began on August 1, 2021. The 'Vottovaara: Myths and Legends' Festival was held on 13 November, 2021. Its purpose was to familiarize the youth of the Republic of Karelia with the historical and cultural heritage of the Muezersky district. In order to take part in the Festival, it was necessary to develop and present to the organizers a tourist route to the 'place of power'.
