The camp of the 3rd year students of the Faculty of Natural History, Geography and Tourism of the Pushkin Leningrad State University’ in Karelia is over, but we are sure that they will come back again!

The guys spent 4 days on the Zaonezhsky Peninsula, where they studied the objects of mountain-industrial heritage and tourist potential of the territory as a whole.

3 days were spent in Shunga, and on the last day they travelled to Foimoguba. Natalia Vilk, head of the ANO ‘Zaonezhskaya izba’, gave a tour of the art gallery and a small museum at the library, which tells about the history of the Spirovsky ironworks. Afterwards, the children travelled to the village of Spirovka, where they visited the site of the plant and collected slag samples. The Zaonezhye tour ended in Velikaya Guba, where the guys saw the Velikoguba House of Culture and learnt about the projects implemented in the settlement. The last day the group spent in Petrozavodsk on a city tour.
