Working meeting of representatives of the Thematic Working Groups of the ComUnYouth project
In Lappeenranta, Finland, a meeting of representatives of the Thematic Working Groups (TWG) of the international project "ComUnYouth" ("Combating Unemployment among Youth") was held on July 10. Representatives of the partners’ network discussed general issues related to the implementation of the project in the year 2017, the process of preparing of the project booklet, scheduled for release in September this year, the next activities of the project - a seminar in Narva, Estonia on "Education of young people and development of skills of creative entrepreneurship in the Baltic countries, Nordic countries and the North-West Russia ", as well as the final conference of the project, which will be held on September 21-22 in Petrozavodsk.
The project partners also talked about the progress of their organizations' implementation of micro-projects within the framework of the main project. These micro-projects are related to implementation of youth seminars, round tables, trainings on topics related to finding new jobs in the border regions they live in, as well as developing start-ups in various spheres of life. A special excursion to the local social enterprise “Laptuote”, engaged in the employment of people with disabilities was organized for the participants of the working meeting.
The partners of the new additional project "Mobility makes opportunity", which is also financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers and begins this summer, discussed the implementation of this project, as well as the first event - the international youth forum, which will be held on 21-23 August in Lappeenranta .
