The meeting with the new head of the Petrozavodsk branch of the Consulate General of Finland

The Karelian Resource Center of Non-governmental Organizations was visited by Tarvo Nieminen, the new head of the Petrozavodsk branch of the Consulate General of Finland, by invitation of the organization on the 31 August.

N. Oskin and P. Petrov told about the activities of the non-commercial partnership, primarily in the sphere of international cooperation, harmonization of interethnic relations, tourism in social sphere.

Dozens of implemented projects with Finnish partners from Helsinki, Joensuu, Kuopio, Lahti and other cities showed that the NGOs of Karelia and Finland have many common interests and that the problems that arise can be easier solved jointly.

In 2017 the program of cross-border cooperation of Karelia ENI was launched. The employees of the Karelian Resource Center told about their plans to participate in this program and tried to answer all questions that arose during the meeting.
