Final meetings in Kazan

The delegation from Karelia is completing a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. In the afternoon of July 18, the group visited the Pushkin Cultural Center. The mission of the Cultural Center is to preserve and strengthen the unity of the multinational Republic of Tatarstan through appealing to the cultural traditions of the Russian people, to the treasury of the Russian language and Russian literature in the context of modern conditions for the development of society.

Afterwards, the delegation visited the German House of the Republic of Tatarstan and met its leader, Chairman of the National-Cultural Autonomy of the Germans of Tatarstan Viktor Georgievich Dietz.

The final meeting was at the Kryashen Culture Center named after. Ya. Emelyanova. Yakov Emelyanov was the first Kryashen poet, educator, and author of two poetry collections during his lifetime. He made a significant contribution to the creation and strengthening of the Kryashen culture.
