Online tea party with partners from Udmurtia and Tatarstan

On August 8, the second Online Tea Party took place with partners from Udmurtia and Tatarstan.

The topic of discussion was work in the field of interethnic relations in municipal areas of multinational republics. The meeting was attended by representatives of the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Republic of Udmurtia, the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Republic of Tatarstan, the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Republic of Karelia, and heads of Centers for Interethnic Cooperation from the regions of Karelia.

Over a cup of tea and a virtual round table, the participants shared their practices of working with the population in the field of interethnic relations and talked about ongoing events in cities and towns. Participants in trips to Izhevsk and Kazan, organized by the Karelian Resource Center for Public Organizations this summer, shared their impressions and thoughts on continuing joint work.

It was decided to continue cooperation between the Houses of Friendship, as well as between organizations working in the field of interethnic relations in the three republics. Already in the fall, events will be held at the Houses of Friendship, in which colleagues from other regions plan to take part.

We hope to continue our fruitful cooperation!

The meeting was held within the framework of the project "Orthodox Bridges. Karelia - Udmurtia", the applicant is the Autonomous non-profit organization "Center for Strategic Planning of the Udmurt Republic". The program is financed by grant funds from the Orthodox Initiative competition.
