We would like to thank the Karelian Center for Strategic Research and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Karelia for inviting us to join the pilot industrial tourism route for existing enterprises in Petrozavodsk.
Yesterday, together with our colleagues, we visited:
a construction equipment company. The plant has been operating since 1975 and produces metal structures for the construction of buildings, locks, gates and gates, equipment for factories, spare parts for construction and road machinery. Almost all major shopping malls in Petrozavodsk have been built using structures made at the Stroitekhnika plant: Maxi, Lotus Plaza, Sigma, Tetris, as well as the Lumi skating rink.
Onega Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Plant. The plant was founded in 2002 in Petrozavodsk on the basis of the modernized ship repair facilities of the Belomorsko-Onega Shipping Company, established in 1944. Work is currently underway at the plant to create a digital shipyard. Digitalization of production involves the introduction of digital support for ship construction, robotization and automation of production processes with an increase in the number of ships built.
The shipyard of wooden shipbuilding VARYAG. A unique company specializing in the design and construction of wooden ships. One of the main activities of the company is the construction of replica ships, stylized as sailing and steam ships of the past centuries.
Fire Robotics Engineering Center. The company dates back to a TASS report dated June 18, 1984 in the newspaper Pravda about the first fire robot created by specialists from Karelia to protect the monuments of wooden architecture of the Kizhi Museum.
Industrial tourism is not only new offers for tourists, it also promotes the products and corporate brands of enterprises, increases their investment attractiveness, forms a loyal attitude, professional orientation and patriotic education of young people.
