Implementation of the project ‘Industrial Karelia: New Dimensions’

We would like to remind you that since February 2024 the Association ‘KRCCO’ has started to implement the project ‘Industrial Karelia: New Dimensions’ with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. And now our team is actively preparing for the important events of the project:
- 4 showcases were made for the organisation of the exhibition ‘Brick Yard’ in Pitkyaranta district, the process of preparing the exhibition is underway, labels and quests for schoolchildren are being prepared, the organiser is the Local History Club ‘Obereg’;
- fabric has been purchased and the process of creating a miner's costume, which will be used in the excursion programme ‘Demiurg's Secrets’ in the village of Foimoguba, organised by the Autonomous Nonprofit Organisation ‘Zaonezhskaya izba’;
- at the end of April the first trip of speleologists to the Shunga cut to study the site will take place, organised by the Russian All-Terrain Vehicle Society;
- The Historical and Local History Museum of Suojärvi district is working on the creation of a unique stand at the Suojärvi Iron Smelting Plant;
- preparation of the Camp for students of the Pushkin Leningrad State University on the Zaonezhsky Peninsula is underway;
- our team is preparing for expedition trips to target areas to study objects of mining and industrial heritage.
