The implementation of the ‘School Museum – a Meeting Place and a Platform for Twin City Cooperation’ project is completed in February 2021. The major output of the project was the preparation of video materials about the museum, video city tours, as well as educational lectures developed by public diplomacy and international communication experts.
The final event of the project ‘School Museum – a Meeting Place and a Platform for Twin City Cooperation’, implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation, was held on February 25.
We are glad to announce that one of the results of the ‘School Museum’ project was the publishing of a bilingual leaflet ‘Cities are Friends: International Cooperation Experience of Petrozavodsk, Varkaus, Veliky Novgorod’.
We are announcing a Competition for Women Entrepreneurs within the framework of the ‘Soft Power - Support of Female Entrepreneurship’ project. Girls from 18 years old who carry out entrepreneurial activities in the territory of the Republic of Karelia are invited to participate. In each nomination, the jury will select 3 winners, so the chances of winning are very high!

An international webinar ‘Woman is a Leader. The Female Face of Civil Society and Business’ under the project ‘PROZVET – Promoting Sustainable Development in Transbaikalia and Karelia through Expanding the Role and Participation of Local Public Organizations and Women in Multilateral Territorial Alliances’ was held on June 18.
On July 6-7 the Karelian Resource Center of Public Organizations (KRC) hosted a two-day conference in Belomorsk. ‘The National Dimension during the Great Patriotic War’ Conference was organized as part of the ‘National Battalion of the Karelian Front’ project and was held at District Central Library.
The ‘Industrial Karelia: Past and Present’ project was launched on August 1. The project is supported by the Presidential Grants Fund. The aim of the project is to preserve the mining and industrial heritage and historical memory of the Republic of Karelia in order to nurture a sense of patriotism among the inhabitants of the region and to boost territorial development.
A round table ‘Different Children - Equal Rights!’ was held in the Sortavala District Intersettlement Library on June 11. The round table was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of National and Regional Policy of the Republic of Karelia, the Centers for Interethnic Cooperation in the Ladoga Region, as well as by chairmen of national and cultural autonomies.
Suoyarvi hosted the final retreat under the ‘National Battalion of the Karelian Front’ project on August 10.

The PROZVET project team announces the Grant Competition for NGOs launch from September 1, 2021.
The main goal of the competition is to identify and provide financial support to the best projects submitted by non-profit organizations aimed at developing women's entrepreneurship as well as unlocking the potential of tourism in the target districts.

The Karelian Resource Center of Public Organizations (KRC) held a meeting with the Public Editorial Board on 3 September, 2021. The meeting was devoted to the publication of the ‘Vestnik of Karelian NGOs’ newspaper as part of the ‘National Battalion of the Karelian Front’ project.

The EU Delegation to Russia and the Karelian Resource Center of Public Organizations (KRC) held a meeting on 21 September 2021.
In response to NGOs' requests and taking into account the packed October Grant Competitions schedule, the PROZVET project team provides an extension to the application deadline for the Grant Competition for NGOs. The new deadline is set on November 1, 2021.
